Layser Wolf trap Grapple - $50.00 CAD
For use with the Lay 76 humane foot hold trap in applications where an anchor spike into a tree or root or an anchor pin into the ground are simply not an option. Examples of this include terrain that is primarily sandy with limited trees or areas where the geography is primarily comprised of large rock or even bed rock where an anchor is simply not possible.

Although there are many different manufactures of grapples on the market, they all share a common design and flaw. Almost all grapples on the market today are a "two prong" or two hook design with each prong twisted outward slightly. Proponents of this design explain that the design is low profile and therefore easy to hide. The real world results however are that the two prong design will slide along the ground with minimal anchoring effect. In fact if one inspects the two prong design it quickly becomes apparent that at any give time there is only one point actually dragging on the ground to leave mark or anchor the trap. Trappers will often attempt to compensate for this by adding cannon balls or some other type of weight to the system in order to make it function.

With a main shaft of 14 inches and four primary prongs as well as an off set chain attachment, the Layser grapple design never has any less than two points dragging at any time and most often three points, leaving sign of travel an anchoring the trap system.

Insta-Boil - 16/8/4 oz bottle available
A proprietary product exclusive to Layser's Kennel, insta-boil is a trapping liquid product to aid in scent elimination and scent cover or your equipment to help in the capture of the most trap shy and trap wise predators in your area. Created during the development of the Layser's Kennel trapping system, insta-boil was invented the give the operator that next level advantage when called upon to capture the predator that no one else can.
Insta-boil can mean the difference between success today and the same results as everyone else when it comes to predators that have seen everyone's methods and tools. Simply apply to equipment that you want to cover or even change the scent of or do not want to freeze; such as trap triggers, trap springs, trap jaws and snare locks. Insta-boil is not meant to replace the practice of boiling traps and equipment, however insta-boil comes in tree/vegetation species specific flavors in order to adapt your equipment to the environment you are setting in. Did you boil your traps in spruce bows but need to make a set under a cedar tree? Simply apply cedar insta-boil to your equipment and the most experienced predator will not detect the equipment.
